Educational Best Practices Observatory
CLIENT

About the Project
The Ministry of Education in Peru, had a repository of best practices created by teachers at schools. All of them were divided according to their level: Initial, Primary, Secondary, and Special Education.
They wanted to create a site where these schools´ best practices could be found and shared, among teachers from all over Peru.

Challenges
- The best practices documents (designed in PDF files), were not properly listed and organized.
- A page with a full list of the best practices, where you can search and filter by certain criteria like type and level, was urgently needed.
- Apart from the PDF files (with the complete information), each best practice required an independent page, showing summarized information, like a general description, videos, and a timeline.

Solution
- A site was created, containing all the information needed, most importantly the complete best practices list, selected and organized with searching options and type/level filters for a deeper exploration.
- Each best practice was reflected on its page, with essential information and the downloadable original PDF file.
- A user creation was implemented on the site, so teachers could log in and check for more specific and personalized information.

Outcomes
- Teachers could finally check and find all the best practices in one place. With the option to reduce the time-consuming process they had before while searching.
- The visuals created an appealing site for visitors, allowing them to easily access all the information they needed.
- The user creation option gave the teachers the feeling of belonging so that they could participate on the site more intimately.
