CLIENT

The educational field was embedded in several graphic pieces of my work due to the Ministry of Education in Peru. Later on, they became a recurrent client of mine. Find here four different design layout requests made for this client.

They were all interesting projects to work on, from the image research to the meeting with the teachers who were responsible for the text content creation, and for the proper feedback on the design proposals.

Palmas Magisteriales

“Palmas Magisteriales” is the highest recognition the Peruvian State grants to teachers whose educational labor stands out in the science, culture, and technology fields. This recognition is delivered in 3 main categories: “Educador”, “Maestro”, and “Amauta”.

This two-folded graphic piece explains important definitions as how to apply, the categories, the awards, and the application due date. The color palette applied came from the Palmas Magisteriales Logo itself, placing geometrical elements as containers and bold text for the numbers, as well as icons to complement the main explanation.

Educational Best Practices Contest

Brochure made for the “8th Educational Best Practices Contest”, organized by the Ministry of Education of Perú. This contest aims to recognize all the best practices that were successfully implemented by teachers at schools, all over the Peruvian country, at kindergarten, primary, secondary, and basic alternative educational levels.

The design uses the best practices main color purple, together with yellow and pink. It takes advantage of the white space as well as bold bar shapes and icons, when needed.

Huascaran Programme

This three-folded graphic piece promoted one of the earliest initiative programmes by the Ministry, aimed to be an instrument of modernization policies in Peruvian education and improve its quality, through technological resources.

The block style stresses the graphic line proposed, accompanied by the palette mainly in blue, green, and in between colors as turquoise, to reinforce the techy feeling of the programme.

Educational Best Practices

These layout designs were made to describe the educational good practices made at school by teachers from all over the Peruvian country. The complete versions of these documents are an alternative version to the Educational Best Practices – Observatory pages (also displayed on this portfolio). You can find them as downloadable PDF files in the “Best Practices” section of the Observatory.

To deliver a distinction in the layouts, a color was assigned to the different educational levels, being Kinder (pink/salmon), Primary (orange), Secondary (green), and Basic Alternative Education (blue). The design style follows the use of bold geometrical shapes proposed for the Best Practices topics, as well as photo editing and retouching.
