PROJECT

UAE, My Homeland

CLIENT

I was thrilled to be commissioned by Al Rawy Publishing to illustrate a book about an Emirati boy named Hamad. This project was a wonderful opportunity, as I was living in Dubai at the time.

This allowed me to immerse myself in the local culture and observe Emirati customs and daily life firsthand. Being in the UAE enabled me to deeply research and draw inspiration from the country’s rich visual landscape, ensuring the illustrations were authentic and truly reflected its fascinating environment.

About the book

In “UAE My Homeland”, get to know Hamad, an Emirati boy who has a lesson on Patriotism at school, but does not fully understand it. He is too shy to ask in class so when he gets home, he asks his father to help him understand the meaning of patriotism.

His father explains him the seven components which Hamad needs to embrace, so he can fully understand and practice his love for his homeland.
